Since the first time I saw Tokyo Drift, I fell in love with Han’s orange veilside RX-7. I’ve lusted after a car like that since, with the plans to eventually either buy a fortune kit or get one made on the aftermarket. Today, I spotted this wine red beauty on copart, and it’s an RHD model. If this thing falls below $10k I’m seriously considering bidding on it

That looks...hideous? I guess I just don’t see the appeal and what leads to it having an “estimated value” of $60k? Rarity? Is this a body kit or a company that took RX-7s and redid them?

I like screen shots because they still exist after eh listing is gone but they can always be cropped down to take up less space, and they’ll load faster for those of us on mobile

It’s worth a couple grand for the engine ( and that’s a gamble if it’s still any good) and the rest is scrap weight, maybe a few small interior trim pieces from the “better ” side can be saved. Already bid too high in the screenshots
